Arlington Rooted Wellness LLC does not participate with any insurance companies at this time. After each therapy session, you will receive an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement. Each month, we also provide a more detailed bill, called a “superbill,” that you can use to request reimbursement.
Please contact your insurance company for more information about benefits for out-of-network providers. We recommend that you ask your insurance company about the following:
Whether they provide reimbursement for out-of-network therapy sessions with a licensed clinical psychologist
Whether reimbursement applies to teletherapy
The amount of reimbursement they offer for a 50-minute individual therapy session (CPT code 90834)
Whether preauthorization or a referral is necessary
Whether any deductible must be met before reimbursement can begin
The number of out-of-network therapy sessions covered per year
The paperwork that must be submitted to receive reimbursement
The reimbursement processing time

We provide compassionate care that integrates cognitive behavioral therapy with psychodynamic therapy to reduce mental health symptoms, explore the root cause of the problem, and enhance positive feelings of life satisfaction.
In your initial therapy session, we will conduct an intake to gather background information to develop a treatment plan. This requires answering numerous questions, which is crucial to establish the groundwork for understanding your needs. Subsequent sessions center around clients discussing their thoughts and feelings with some guided exercises.
The initial phase of therapy typically focuses on symptom reduction. We will apply techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you minimize thoughts and behaviors that may exacerbate your symptoms. We will encourage you to challenge negative thought patterns and to engage in positive activities to support your wellbeing.
The second phase of therapy typically involves psychodynamic techniques to identify the root cause of your problems. During this phase, clients can explore their self-image and the role of systemic factors in affecting their wellbeing as appropriate to their circumstances, such as family systems, workplace stress, gender roles, and discrimination.
The final phase of therapy focuses on promoting long-term wellbeing. Clients are encouraged to develop a resilient sense of self so that they can live life with greater satisfaction.
Mindfulness techniques and other types of holistic healing practices can be integrated into evidence-based practices for clients who are interested.

We typically meet with clients every week or every other week, depending on the severity of symptoms. After symptoms improve, we can meet every three to four weeks to help sustain progress.
Once goals are met, therapy ends. It is best to plan in advance for the final therapy session so there is an opportunity to review the scope of therapy, identify lessons learned, and outline coping strategies that can be used if difficulties arise in the future.
